چکیده
This paper studies the efficiency of applying an engineered cementitious composite (ECC) layer to tensile surface (RC) beams that were previously strengthened using externally bonded (EB) carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) laminates. One control and ten RC produced tested utilizing a four-point loading regime. For beams, two kept only CFRP, additional ECC layers added rest beams. The CFRP width overlap length position among test factors. Experimental results revealed strengthening with laminates enhanced both stiffness flexural capacity Additional enhancements obtained through application layers. existence alongside laminate improved by 102% 125% when widths 50 mm 100 mm, respectively, was average value 318%. Investigation on Flexural Performance of RC Beams Flexurally Strengthened by Side-bonded CFRP Laminates
It is an effective way to improve the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) members by externally bonded carbon fiber reinforcement polymer (CFRP) laminates on the soffit of the members. However, there is little investigation on flexural performance of RC beam flexurally strengthened by side-bonded FRP laminates. To investigate the flexural behavior of RC beams side-bonded CFRP laminate...

The use of externally bonded Steel-Reinforced Polymer (SRP) and Steel Reinforced Grout (SRG) composites is a promising new technology for increasing the flexural and shear capacities of reinforced concrete (RC) members. The reinforcement system in these composites is a sheet made up of unidirectional cords consisting of tightly wound ultra high strength steel wires. The reinforcement can be mol...
متن کاملAnalytical Solutions for the Flexural Behavior of Metal Beams Strengthened with Prestressed Unbonded CFRP Plates
Trapezoidal prestressed unbonded retrofit (TPUR) systems have been recently developed and tested. The authors have already developed a comprehensive and accurate analytical solution for the TPUR system that takes many system parameters into account. The main aim of this paper is to develop a simplified analytical solution for predicting the behavior of metal beams that have been strengthened wi...
متن کاملFlexural Testing of High Strength Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with CFRP Sheets
The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of externally bonded CFRP sheets to increase the flexural strength of reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) beams. Four-point bending flexural tests to complete failure on six concrete beams, strengthened with different layouts of CFRP sheets were conducted. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) models were adopted by A...
